On May 15, 2018, the 2018 stable isotope measurement technology and application academic exchange meeting was successfully held at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The conference was organized by the Institute of Eco-Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences the Public Technology Service Center, and co-organized by ABB LGR Corporation of the United States and LICA United Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “LICA”).
his conference is mainly focused on the technology and application of stable isotope measurement, more than 30 institutes and more than 200 experts and scholars from the center for ecological environment research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of geography and resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of plant research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of forestry science, and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing Forestry University, China Agricultural University, Shenyang Agricultural Uinversity attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Zhou Yiqi, deputy director of the science and Technology Development Department of the Academy of ecological environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made an opening speech, welcomed the teachers who came to the conference and wished the meeting a complete success.

As we all know, stable isotope technology is widely used in many fields, such as ecology, environment, hydrology, geology, agriculture, energy and so on. It has helped scientists to solve many scientific problems, and has gradually become a powerful tool to understand the relationship between biology and its living environment. With the development of research needs, stable isotope technology has gone from laboratory to field. The emergence of laser stable isotope measurement technology can not only obtain high precision data in the laboratory, but also make it possible to obtain high precision and continuous on-line isotope measurement data. This technology can be compared with the traditional mass spectrometry. It is one of the new and effective methods to measure the stable isotopes. The development and supplement of the stable isotope mass spectrometry technology.
